Established in 2001, Medlab Pathology is one of Australia’s leading independent Pathology Service Providers that operates state of the art laboratory facilities in NSW and QLD.
On the back of various opportunities and as part of our growth strategy, Medlab Pathology decided to expand its business into the Queensland market in 2016. As part of this expansion we partnered with a highly specialised group of Specialist Pathologists who specialise in Anatomical and Dermatopathology, which has given enormous assistance to doctors in QLD for their patients requiring specialised diagnosis and treatment in this area.
Medlab have also partnered recently with GENEA, a world leading fertility provider, who offer prenatal services for pregnant women. The test ‘GeneSyte’ provides a complete analysis of foetal and maternal DNA using whole genome sequencing (WGS). This allows detection of the widest range of abnormalities, including chromosomal trisomy, foetal gender and other important abnormalities.

Medlab Pathology is enrolled in various audit activities approved by RCPA to ensure our doctors receive information with regards to continued professional development. CPD Points are available for these audits.

We operate over 300 approved collection centres that are supported by our extensive courier network. Expanding from Wollongong in NSW to Sunshine Coast in QLD, we provide regular specimen pickups, report delivery and supply medical consumables to ensure our doctors receive a timely service.
Access to pathology results are customised to the doctors’ requirements and available as electronic downloads to your practice management software, online access via our website or printed copies.
Our customer service team operates extensive hours, every day of the year to assist our doctors. Our Pathologists, Directors and Management team work very closely with our doctors to ensure that our pathology services meet their requirements.
